I signed up for BoxyCharm and BoxyLuxe quite late in September, so I am surprised I was even able to get a September box — but I’m so glad I did!
For those who don’t know, BoxyCharm is a monthly beauty and skincare subscription service which provides you with a bunch of full size products and the chance to choose some items you want in your box.
BoxyCharm is the regular subscription, and includes 5 full sized beauty and skincare items, valued at a minimum of roughly $125 USD. BoxyLuxe is an add-on that, for an extra $24.99 USD, will provide you with a much larger box valued at roughly $200-300 USD every 3 months.
This September 2019 box exceeds $400 CAD in value. You can see why I was excited to get it.
As a promo for signing up in September, I also received the Becca Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder ($51 CAD) for free.

My 2019 September BoxyLuxe Contents
Listed in order of “Okay, cool!” to “YESSSSS! THIS IS IT!!!” with retail values
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick (“Angelo”) | $22 USD, $29 CAD
I don’t need any more lip products, especially such light nudes like “Angelo” that I probably will not wear. I mean, don’t get me wrong, this is a gorgeous colour and I might be able to make it work with some liner but…it’s super light. It also has a weird, sickly sweet smell.
Hank & Henry Blickity Black Eye Liner | $20 USD, $26 CAD
This is a vegan, black eyeliner pen, and I use eyeliner regularly so it’s nice to have this extra one on hand. I haven’t tested it yet!

Violet Voss Essentials Eyeshadow Palette | $29 USD, $38 CAD
I’ve heard so many great things about Violet Voss shadows, but I’m not an eyeshadow person. I keep it really simple and use mostly neutral palettes. This is definitely not my kind of color palette taste, but maybe this’ll get me to try some more adventurous looks out.
Moda 8-piece Brush Kit | $69.99 USD, $92.10 CAD
This (probably overpriced) set of brushes was welcome mostly because I’ve been wanting a brow brush and there is one included in here!! Otherwise, fluffy eye and face brushes are always welcome. I don’t buy them myself because they’re way too expensive. I’ll just continue using my 10+ year old powder brush that my mom gave me as a kid, thank you!

Dr. Brandt Hydro Biotic Recovery Sleeping Mask | $52 USD, $68 CAD
A sleeping mask that is for reducing redness and irritation could not have come to me at a better time. My skin’s been shite lately due to the weather, so let’s hope this $52 sleeping mask helps!
IGK Mistress Hydrating Balm | $29 USD, $38 CAD
Since trying IGK’s Conditioning Cleansing Oil and falling in love, I’ve been hoping to try more of their stuff. Plus, any opportunity I have to try a new leave-in conditioner, I will gladly accept!
Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream | $65 USD, $86 CAD
Having a luxury moisturizer included is one of the best parts of this box! This is supposed to be a very hydrating cream, so let’s hope it lives up to the hype. We know Sunday Riley has been a disappointment as of late.

Too Faced Natural Face Palette | $44 USD, $58 CAD
Bronzers, highlighters and blush are some of my favorite types of makeup, so I am SO EXCITED to have received this palette. It has weight to it — its quite hefty — and the packaging is gorgeous. The shades are perfect and work on my skin tone so well. I love, love, looooove this palette. Oh, it also smells DELECTABLY coconutty.
TOTAL: 8 items, $435.10 CAD (+ a bonus $51 CAD Becca powder for signing up)
Overall, I am…
Happy / Disappointed
A worthy box.
