My Stay at the Madonna Inn, California

While on our road-trip, we tried to penny pinch as much as possible in terms of hotels and motels.

The one exception we treated ourselves to was the Madonna Inn.

I found the Madonna Inn through travel blogger Kiersten, TheBlondeAbroad. See her post here! It pretty much convinced me to make it an absolute must on my list of places to visit.

And it was worth it!

The Room: “Merry”

The Madonna Inn is primarily pink and retro, although each room is themed differently. My boyfriend surprised me by picking our room and he freaking nailed it. He told me the only criteria he used to decide were two words:

Pink + Glitter

He knows me very well.

We stayed in Room 164 aka “Merry“. Pink and glittery is the best way to describe it.

It’s also circular shaped — how awesome is that?

Surprisingly, the bed was extremely comfortable, too. Worth a mention because I find most hotel and motel beds to be unpleasant.

The room is so lovely to be in, and despite its humble size, it feels spacious because of the high ceiling. Overall, beautiful.

Other Goodies

The steakhouse is stunning.

They also have the coolest gift shop where you can buy signature Madonna Inn goblets and wine glasses.

I may have picked up a few. Not enough.

Next time you’re travelling through San Luis Obispo, California, definitely check the Madonna Inn out!

Even if you aren’t staying over night, pay a visit to their bakery or restaurant!

  1. New blog follower here! Ok I never heard of the Madonna Inn but let’s just say the aesthetic is exquisite! Your boyfriend did a fantastic job in picking out your room, it was so retro glam👏🏾💕 I really like the floral print on the bathroom sinks and the steak house was so gorgeous! Ah talk about the perfect place for a girls trip 😁

    1. Hahaha right? Definitely an excellent place! If I had time (and the money), I would spend like a week there in a bunch of different rooms each night. Thanks for the follow!
