I can’t tell you how annoying it is to keep my lips soft and free of pain. They’re constantly getting sore and dry in the most awkward spot — right around the edges.
I had pretty much given up on any kind of lip balm or salve, but First Aid Beauty has changed things…specifically with their Intensive Lip Therapy tube.
About
This is a tube with a soft, salve-like lip product meant to repair dry lips.
Fragrance-free, and includes ingredients like jojoba oil, shea butter, glycerin, squalane, vitamin E, and hyaluronic acid to moisturize and soothe.
It is also petroleum free, which is a major reason I decided to try it. I’m over petroleum products for a number of reasons, but primarily because petroleum isn’t chemically designed to be hydrating or provide such effects (it instead KEEPS moisture from escaping). It’s simply not enough for me.
This product is not silicone-free. Full list here.

Review
I find that although this goes on with that slippery, salve feel that I hate, it tends to absorb pretty quickly to where I only have a light, firm, soft layer on top which keeps my lips from drying out.
Using the product frequently over the past 2 weeks has helped get rid of my rough lip texture, flaking, and overall dryness. It’s overall very soothing.
I still find that my lips are sore, but I feel like they’re very much healing. I’m going to increase how often I use this stuff because so far, it’s been great.
Tried any First Aid Beauty products yet?
