Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask Review

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask (15g)

Sephora: $30 CAD | $26 USD

Bite Beauty’s Agave Lip Mask is a thick, firm balm-like product that doubles as a night mask and daily lip balm. It’s my favorite lip balm/nourishing product and the ingredients really impress me. Its thick consistency and lack of slipperiness has made it the lip balm of my dreams!!!!

Free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates and silicones. Cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny certified.

Composed of moisturizing and healing factors like agave nectar, jojoba oil, lanolin, shea butter, and….vitamin E!! Yes!! Thank you, Bite Beauty. One thing that takes away from the greatness of the Laneige lip mask is the lack of healing ingredients (and it’s also full of rather weird ingredients, though I do still use it).

Full lists of the ingredients with variations according to flavor on Bite Beauty’s website.

First, I love the consistency of this product. It’s very thick and smooth, and not slippery which I — and I can’t stress this enough — love.

Looks goopy, but it’s rather viscous (Shade: Natural)

It feels firm on the lips and it stays put! Even through eating and drinking, there is still a decent amount left on my lips.

It looks great on the lips; depending on the flavour you get, there are different tints. They’re barely noticeable and are great for a natural lip look or as toppers. My favorite is the Maple flavor; smells and looks great alone or on top of my lipsticks.

Bite Beauty or Laneige?

The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, which I reviewed here, is great in many ways, but sometimes it actually ends up drying my lips out by morning. Bite Beauty’s lip mask doesn’t do this.

Bite Beauty’s mask definitely beats the Laneige Sleeping Mask in terms of effectiveness. I feel more comfortable wearing the BB mask during the day because it’s firmer, and just the right amount absorbs, leaving a top layer of smooth product to keep your lips from losing moisture.

Minis included in the trio set

Final Thoughts

I find the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask more useful than other lip balm or mask for actually nourishing my lips, even when my lips are at their worst.

I absolutely love these lip masks and will certainly repurchase. It is pricey, but for the amount you get and the fact that it works so damn well — it’s worth it to me. I’ve tried so many crappy lip balms that leave thin, slippery layers on your lips and disappear without doing anything, so I can’t go back to those.

Have you tried the Bite Beauty lip masks? Do let me know if you have other recommendations!
